Boma has over 15 years’ experience in product sustainability. She currently leads EDF’s corporate engagement to eliminate toxic chemicals from consumer products and food. Leveraging EDF’s 5 Pillars of Safer Chemicals Leadership, Boma works closely with major retailers and consumer brands, advocating for smart corporate chemical policies, ambitious corporate sustainability programs and increased value chain transparency. Prior to EDF, Boma played a driving role in establishing Whirlpool Corporation’s North American sustainability strategy. Boma has a M.S. in Technology & Policy from MIT and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Yale University.
